Stafford’s 70-yard touchdown toss down the right side of the field to WR Cooper Kupp in the second quarter made for one of the most memorable moments of the afternoon.
Special teams collected 12 points for Los Angeles. K Matt Gay delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
Speaking of close games: last week San Francisco sidestepped the Green Bay Packers for a 13-10 victory.
As it got past the Packers’ offensive line to sack QB Aaron Rodgers five times for a total loss of 29 yards. The heavy lifting was done by DE Arik Armstead and DE Nick Bosa, who each racked up two sacks.
The Rams are the favorite in this one, with an expected 3.5-point margin of victory. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread as they are currently on a two-game streak of ATS wins.
A couple defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Los Angeles enters the matchup having picked the ball off 19 times, good for third in the league. As for the 49ers, they rank first in the NFL when it comes to forced fumbles, having caused 22 on the season.
