Minnesota is looking to get off to a better start in 2021 after losing five of its first six games last season. The Vikings allowed 475 points, which was the third-highest total in team history. But Minnesota’s offense was fourth best in yards per game, finishing the 2020 season with 393.3 on average. The Vikings did get terrific seasons out of their top running back and wide receiver. 

Dalvin Cook ranked second in the NFL in scrimmage yards (1,918) and rushing yards (1,557) and tied for second in the league with 16 rushing scores. He also led the league with six games of 150-plus scrimmage yards. Justin Jefferson set an NFL rookie record with 1,400 receiving yards and led all rookies with 88 receptions last season. Kirk Cousins is the only NFL quarterback with 25-plus TD passes in each of the past six years.

Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow is making his long-awaited return to action after recovering from ACL surgery. He averaged 287 passing yards in home games last year.  

Cincinnati was third worst in overall offensive touchdowns last year, with the squad coming up with only 32 overall. But a healthy Burrow and the addition of his former LSU teammate Ja’Marr Chase at wide receiver will boost the outlook of the passing game. Tee Higgins heads into a promising second season after leading the Bengals with 908 receiving yards and six TDs last year.
