David Ojabo, one of the top-rated defensive players in the 2022 NFL Draft, endured an apparent injury Friday during Michigan’s Pro Day. The former Wolverines linebacker was seen laying on the ground grabbing his left leg during a pass rushing drill. Ojabo was eventually helped off the field.

A projected first-round pick, the 6-5, 250-pound Ojabo was a dominant force during his final season at Michigan. Last fall, Ojabo tallied 11 sacks, five forced fumbles (a program single-season record) and 12 tackles for loss for the Wolverines, who won the Big Ten title after defeating Ohio State for the first time in a decade. The 21-year-old Scotland native was a consensus All-American and a second team CoSIDA Academic All-American.

Ojabo is the 40th ranked player in CBS Sports’ rankings of players who are eligible to be selected in the upcoming draft. Each of our four CBS Sports NFL Draft experts currently have him being selected in the first round of the draft, with draft expert Chris Trapasso having Ojabo being selected as high as No. 13 overall by the Cleveland Browns

This is a developing story, as we will provide an update on Ojabo’s status as soon as one is available.
