PSG vs. Benfica odds, picks, how to watch, live stream: Oct. 11, 2022 UEFA Champions League predictions

Written by on October 11, 2022

Just one group in the 2022-23 UEFA Champions League has a pair of undefeated teams, and they will square off Tuesday on Paramount+. Paris Saint-Germain and Benfica both sport 2-1-0 records after the two played to a 1-1 draw last week. With both squads also having the same goal differential, the only difference between the two is that PSG has scored one more goal through their UCL run. That gives the Parisians the edge in Group H, but whoever wins on Matchday 4 will have sole possession of first place. You can stream the match live on Paramount+.

Kickoff from Parc des Princes in Paris, France is set for 3 p.m. ET. The latest PSG vs. Benfica odds from Caesars Sportsbook list PSG as -205 favorites (risk $205 to win $100) on the 90-minute money line, with Benfica the +525 underdogs. A draw is priced at +350 and the over/under for total goals scored is 3.5. Tuesday’s match will be streamed live on Paramount+ with their must-have Premium plan.

UEFA Champions League picks for PSG vs. Benfica

Before you tune in to Tuesday’s match, you need to see the UEFA Champions League picks from SportsLine’s soccer insider Martin Green. After working in the sports betting industry for several years, Green became a professional sports writer and handicapper and has covered the game worldwide. Since then, his European soccer picks have been spot-on. Green has generated almost $33,000 for $100 bettors since the 2017-18 season, and he has his finger on the pulse of the game all over the globe.

For PSG vs. Benfica, Green is backing PSG to win and both teams to score at +140 odds. That’s what nearly happened when they played last week but Neymar’s shot hit the crossbar in the second half and the game ended in a 1-1 draw. Now, PSG has the home-field advantage as well as momentum after dominating, statistically, in the first meeting. PSG held possession for 65% of the match and had nearly twice as many total shots (15) as Benfica had (eight).

Dating back to last season, PSG have won their last five UCL home games and averaged 2.5 goals across those matches. But they have also conceded in eight of their last nine Champions League fixtures overall, including all three this season. Benfica have gotten goals from four different players in their current UCL run, but the team’s leading scorer, Goncalo Ramos, has yet to score in the European competition. That means there is even more scoring potential for the club which is why Green sees Benfica finding the back of the net as well.
