NFL odds, lines, picks, spreads, best bets, predictions for Week 3, 2021: Model loving Ravens, Raiders

Written by on September 25, 2021

Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings are still searching for their first win of the season after narrowly losing to the Arizona Cardinals last week. Cousins and the Vikings will look to get off the mark against Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. According to the latest Week 3 NFL odds from Caesars Sportsbook, Minnesota is as two-point underdog at home.

The Vikings have struggled against the Seahawks over the years, losing seven consecutive meetings against Seattle. However, the Seahawks are just 1-6 against the spread in their last six games on the road, which makes this one of the most intriguing Week 3 NFL spreads. All of the NFL lines are listed below, and before making any NFL picks on these games or others, be sure to see the Week 3 NFL predictions from the proven computer model at SportsLine

The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up almost $7,800 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception six-plus years ago. It went a sizzling 24-14 on top-rated NFL picks last season, returning more than $800. The model also enters Week 3 of the 2021 season on an incredible 122-81 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season.

The model also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past five years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94 percent of CBS Sports Football Pick’em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

Now, it has turned its attention to the latest Week 3 NFL odds from Caesars and locked in picks for every NFL matchup. Head here to see every pick.

Top Week 3 NFL predictions

One of the top Week 3 NFL predictions the model recommends: The Ravens (-7.5) cover the spread on the road against the Lions. After blowing an early 14-0 lead against the Raiders on Monday Night Football in Week 1, Baltimore responded with a win at home over the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football in Week 2.

It was Lamar Jackson’s first head-to-head win over Patrick Mahomes and put the Ravens back into the conversation in the AFC. Jackson was dominant with his legs, running for 107 yards and two scores. Despite having their top three running backs injured prior to the season, the Ravens still churned out 251 rushing yards.

That doesn’t bode well for a Lions defense that ranked 28th against the run last season and has given up three rushing touchdowns in two games. The model likes Jackson to throw for 241 yards and two touchdowns while leading a rushing attack that piles up nearly 200 more yards on the ground. That helps the Ravens cover the spread in nearly 60 percent of simulations.

Another one of the top Week 3 NFL picks from the model: The Raiders (-3.5) cover the spread at home against the Dolphins. Las Vegas has been one of the biggest surprises thus far this season, beating both the Ravens and Steelers as underdogs.

Quarterback Derek Carr is one of the main reasons for Las Vegas’ early season success, and he’s coming off a sensational performance against a stingy Pittsburgh defense. He completed 75.7 percent of his passes for 382 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions in Las Vegas’ 26-17 victory over the Steelers.

The Dolphins suffered a devastating 35-0 defeat against the Bills last week and will be without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (IR), who suffered a rib injury against Buffalo. The model has also taken into account that Las Vegas is 5-1 against the spread in its last six games played in September. SportsLine’s model shows Carr throwing for 325 yards and two touchdowns, resulting in the Raiders covering the spread in well over 50 percent of simulations.

How to make Week 3 NFL picks

The model has also made the call on who wins and covers in every other game on the Week 3 NFL schedule, and it’s calling for a Super Bowl contender to go down hard. You can only get every pick for every game at SportsLine.

So what NFL picks can you make with confidence? And which Super Bowl contender goes down hard? Check out the latest NFL odds below, then visit SportsLine to see which teams win and cover the spread, all from a proven computer model that has returned almost $7,800 since its inception, and find out.
