Many food enthusiasts agree that cooking meat, especially steak, too long is a major “no” in the kitchen. Asking for your steak well done at a restaurant can get heads to turn at the table, and not in a good way. This is what Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid experiences when he tries to order a meal, and his teammates are calling him out for it.

76ers forward Tobias Harris and former 76ers player Amir Johnson both revealed Embiid’s well-done eating habits and they are not that supportive of them.

Here’s what Harris said (via The Athletic):

“He likes his steak burnt, which is like super disrespectful. We were at a very well-known steakhouse. He asks for the steak to be burnt, burnt. And the chef came out and was like he’s not burning the steak, that’s like against his chef code … [Joel] was disappointed and he was like, ‘I don’t want to eat here anymore.”http://www.cbssports.com/”

Johnson also chimed in, saying that Embiid likes his steaks “extra, extra, extra, extra, extra, extra well done.”

Now, I know most people will read this and judge, but as someone who is on the same page about this as Embiid, though maybe not as extreme, I ask that we all be nice to the MVP candidate. While it may be against chef code, it is not as if he is ordering well done steak for the whole table, so why not just let him enjoy what he likes?

I know, it’s more fun to judge, especially on something most people are very against.
