The San Francisco 49ers recorded the upset of the 2021 NFL playoffs so far by taking down the No. 1 seed Green Bay Packers, 13-10. Despite the worsening snowy conditions, San Francisco’s special teams scored 10 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to win — including a 45-yard, game-winning field goal converted by Robbie Gould.
Following the big moment when the win went official, Gould was seen walking around with the game ball on the field. He was then approached by quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who had some powerful words for the kicker. (NSFW)
“You’re a f*****g legend, man!” said Garoppolo. “F**k the Packers.”
The 49ers recorded their second thrilling upset victory in as many weeks, and are now just one win away from making the Super Bowl for the second time in three years. San Francisco recorded just 212 yards of total offense against the Packers, but the defense and special teams stepped up to will this team to another win.
Garoppolo is now 2-0 against the Packers in the postseason, while Aaron Rodgers is 0-4 against his former favorite team in the playoffs. In fact, he now has the most playoff losses vs. a single opponent since QB starts were first tracked!
