Paramount+ is already home to live soccer with the UEFA Champions League, Serie A, AFC Champions League and many more. One of the streaming service’s new film releases, however, takes a narrative look at the game.

The documentary “Black and White Stripes: The Juventus story” arrived on Paramount+ Thursday and is available to all subscribers. Fiat founder Giovanni Agnelli and his family, who own the Italian club Juventus F.C., are heavily featured.

“Set against the backdrop of ‘the beautiful game’, Black and White Stripes tells the epic story of Italy’s legendary Agnelli family and their beloved Juventus F.C., as they aim to capture an elusive gold star in order to avert annihilation,” the synopsis reads. “As the journey unfolds, the film reveals game-changers from their legacy – and a unique and profound passion. On and off the field it’s love, war and breathtaking cinema as the Black and Whites accomplish one of sports most exhilarating comebacks of all time.”

“Black and White Stripes: The Juventus story” won Best Documentary Feature at the 2017 Hincha! Film Fest and Best Documentary at the 2017 Love Film Festival. The movie also earned the Audience Choice Award for Best Documentary Film at the 2017 Offside Film Fest.

Identical twin brothers Marco La Villa and Mauro La Villa wrote, directed and produced the film together. It was their first movie together since the 1998 music documentary “Hang the DJ.”
