2022 Masters odds: Surprising PGA picks, Sunday predictions from model that nailed seven golf majors

Scottie Scheffler’s lead has dropped from five strokes to three at the 2022 Masters, but he’s an even larger favorite following his third-round 71 on Saturday. After finishing Round 2 at even money, Scheffler is now listed at 4-9 (-225) in the latest 2022 Masters odds from Caesars Sportsbook. Australian Cameron Smith is the only other golfer within four strokes of Scheffler as he sits at 6 under for the tournament following his 68 on Saturday.
Smith is listed at 13-5 (+260) in the Masters Sunday odds. Conditions are forecasted to be favorable at Augusta National Golf Club on Sunday, so there are some intriguing values on the board to win the Masters 2022 if Scheffler stumbles. Before Round 4 tees off Sunday morning, you’ll want to check out the PGA Tour predictions from the proven computer model at SportsLine before locking in your 2022 Masters picks.
SportsLine’s proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, it’s up over $8,000 on its best bets since that point, nailing tournament after tournament.
At the 2021 Open Championship, McClure’s best bets included Collin Morikawa winning outright even though he was listed as a massive 40-1 long shot. In addition, McClure’s model was all over Jon Rahm’s (10-1) first career major championship victory at the 2021 U.S. Open. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the weekend, but the model still projected him as the winner.
This same model has also nailed a whopping seven majors heading into the weekend. Anyone who has followed it has seen some huge returns.
Now that the 2022 Masters is down to Sunday, SportsLine simulated the final round 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head to SportsLine now to see the projected leaderboard.

Model’s top 2022 Masters predictions
One huge shocker the model is calling for at the Masters 2022: Im, who has the third-lowest odds at 14-1, stumbles and barely sticks in the top five even though he’s currently third at 4 under. The model has even identified a triple-digit long shot who will finish higher than Im, so he’s a golfer to avoid for Sunday Masters bets.
Im came out hot on Thursday, firing a first-round 67. He shot a second-round 74 before rebounding for a third-round 71. The 24-year old South Korean finished T2 in 2020 at Augusta. But he also missed the cut last year and has no other finishes better than T17 at any major.
Another surprise: Justin Thomas, who is going off at 60-1, makes a surprising run up the leaderboard. The No. 7 golfer in the OWGR has bounced back from a tough first-round 76 to get to 1 under for the tournament, putting him in a tie with Corey Conners for sixth. Thomas showed the ability to go extremely low on Friday with a 67. Another round like that, combined with some shaky play from the leaders, could put him back in the mix.
The model views the 14-time PGA winner as the sleeper to watch from the group that’s hovering around par. It predicts that he will outperform Im, Shane Lowry and Charl Schwartzel in the simulations, making Thomas a smart choice for Masters Sunday bets.
How to make 2022 Masters picks
The model has a surprising prediction for where Tiger Woods ultimately will finish. It’s also locked in on a triple-digit long shot who will make a surprising Sunday run. Anyone who backs this long shot could hit it big. You can only see the model’s picks here.
