What to Know
The Sacramento Kings have enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they must head out on the road. They will take on the Washington Wizards at 7 p.m. ET Saturday at Capital One Arena after having had a few days off. Both teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.
While not quite a landslide, the contest between Sacramento and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday was still a pretty decisive one as the Kings wrapped it up with a 132-119 win at home. Sacramento can attribute much of their success to power forward Harrison Barnes, who had 30 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Washington escaped with a win on Thursday against the Brooklyn Nets by the margin of a single free throw, 113-112. Having forecasted a close victory for Washington, the oddsmakers were right on the money. Point guard Raul Neto and center Thomas Bryant were among the main playmakers for Washington as the former had 21 points and six assists and the latter had 13 points in addition to six boards. Neto had some trouble finding his footing against the Miami Heat on Monday, so this was a step in the right direction. Neto’s points were the most he has had all year.
The Kings had enough points to win and then some against the Wizards in the teams’ previous meeting last December, taking their matchup 119-105. Will Sacramento repeat their success, or does Washington have a better game plan this time around? We’ll find out soon enough.
