The San Francisco 49ers will duke it out with the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the playoffs next Sunday at AT&T Stadium at 4:30 p.m. ET. With a combined 924 yards of offense in their previous games, we can expect a fast-paced game.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but San Francisco ultimately got the result they were hoping for on Sunday with a 27-24 win over the Los Angeles Rams. The victory came about thanks to a strong surge after the half to overcome a 17-3 deficit. It was another big night for the 49ers’ WR Deebo Samuel, who threw one touchdown in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown and catching four passes for 95 yards.
Meanwhile, Dallas made easy work of the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday and carried off a 51-26 victory. Dallas’ QB Dak Prescott was on fire, passing for five TDs and 295 yards on 27 attempts.
A couple defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: San Francisco ranks first in the NFL when it comes to forced fumbles, having caused 22 on the season. As for Dallas, they enter the contest having picked the ball off 26 times, good for first in the league.
