Who’s Playing
Las Vegas @ Indianapolis
Current Records: Las Vegas 8-7; Indianapolis 9-6
What to Know
The Las Vegas Raiders and the Indianapolis Colts are even-steven against one another since December of 2016 (2-2), but not for long. Las Vegas will head out on the road to face off against the Colts at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous games.
Even if it wasn’t a dominant performance, Las Vegas beat the Denver Broncos 17-13 last week. No one had a standout game offensively for Las Vegas, but they got scores from WR Hunter Renfrow and RB Peyton Barber. QB Derek Carr ended up with a passer rating of 152.70.
Meanwhile, Indianapolis didn’t have too much breathing room in their game with the Arizona Cardinals last week, but they still walked away with a 22-16 win. Indianapolis QB Carson Wentz was slinging it as he passed for two TDs and 225 yards on 28 attempts. Wentz ended up with a passer rating of 155.40.
Las Vegas is now 8-7 while the Colts sit at 9-6. Both teams are in the playoff hunt, so this is a critical matchup.
The Raiders are expected to lose this next one by 7. However, those who like betting on the underdog should be happy to hear that they are 4-2 against the spread when expected to lose.
A couple offensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Las Vegas is fifth worst in the NFL in rushing yards per game, with only 90.5 on average. The Colts’ offense has more to brag about, as they they come into the contest boasting the second most rushing yards per game in the league at 154.9. So the cards are definitely stacked in their favor.
