Written by Lucky Wilson | KGTO Writer on December 7, 2021
The race for the AFC East may not be decided until January, but Monday Night Football will give one team a decisive edge. The winner of Patriots vs. Bills will have pole position in the division with sights on the AFC’s No. 1 overall seed in the NFL playoff picture. Daily Fantasy football players will now need to figure out their NFL DFS lineups since these are the top two scoring defenses in the league. Who can you trust with your NFL DFS picks and NFL DFS stacks?
Mac Jones has looked like a rookie on the road, as he has more turnovers (four) than touchdowns (three) away from Gillette Stadium. Should you trust him in a hostile environment with Bills Mafia breathing down his neck? Which Bills running back will emerge from the committee and rise to the top of the NFL DFS player pool? Before locking in your NFL DFS picks for Bills vs. Patriots, be sure to check out the NFL DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure.
McClure is a legendary professional DFS player with almost $2 million in career winnings. His methodology has led to enormous cashes on FanDuel and DraftKings. He took down two high-stakes tournaments on FanDuel in 2020 and recorded a pair top-10 finishes in tournaments with over 130,000 entrants on DraftKings. His lineups also finished inside the top 1 percent in more than a dozen other tournaments last season.
He uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every snap of NFL action, taking factors such as matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account. This allows him to find the best DFS values that he shares only with members at SportsLine.
Now, McClure has turned his attention to Patriots vs. Bills and locked in his top daily Fantasy football picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.
Top NFL DFS picks for Patriots vs. Bills
One of McClure’s top NFL DFS picks for Monday Night Football is Bills quarterback Josh Allen. In Buffalo’s Thanksgiving win, Allen showed off his dual-threat abilities, as he passed for 260 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing for 43 yards. He now ranks second in the NFL in total offense with 3,336 yards.
Allen’s last game versus the Patriots may have been the best game of his pro career. In Week 16 of last season, he threw for 320 yards and four scores while also rushing for 35 yards. It’s one of three games in his career in which he’s thrown for four TDs with no turnovers. The Patriots have struggled against mobile quarterbacks like Dak Prescott (445 yards, 3 TD in Week 6), so Allen is the type of player who can find success against them.
McClure’s optimal NFL DFS strategy also includes stacking Allen with tight end Dawson Knox, who ranks third at his position in Fantasy points and had two receiving touchdowns last week. His seven receiving TDs this year are the most among tight ends and rank seventh among all players.
Knox has become a bigger part of Buffalo’s game plan as the season has progressed. After playing 75 percent of snaps through his first four games, he’s logged 90 percent of snaps over his last five. He’s also become one of Allen’s favorite targets when Buffalo gets within the 10-yard line. Knox has just one fewer target and one fewer reception than Stefon Diggs within the 10-yard line, despite Diggs playing in two more games.
