NFL DFS, Week 2, 2021: Optimal DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy football picks, stacks, lineups

The first week of the 2021 NFL schedule featured several monster performances, including Deebo Samuel torching the Lions with nine catches for 189 yards and a touchdown. Only Tyreek Hill had more receiving yards (197) in Week 1, but there were 13 pass-catchers who topped 100 yards. Receiving stats are always critical in NFL DFS, but which matchups should you target as you set your Week 2 NFL DFS lineups?

Top NFL DFS picks for Week 2
One of McClure’s top NFL DFS picks for Week 2 is Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds ($4,900 DraftKings, $6,000 FanDuel). Edmonds was a major factor in both the running and passing games in Week 1, as he rushed 12 times for 63 yards and caught four passes for 43 yards. It marked his third career game with over 100 yards from scrimmage.
After operating as a backup during the past three seasons, the Cardinals clearly saw enough in Edmonds to bump him up the depth chart and let Kenyan Drake walk in free agency. Edmonds and James Conner both had 16 touches in Week 1, but Edmonds doubled the former Steelers in yards, 106 to 53. Now, he faces a Vikings run defense that was shredded last week, allowing the Bengals‘ Joe Mixon and his 127 rushing yards to lead the league entering Week 2.
Part of McClure’s optimal NFL DFS strategy also includes rostering Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb ($6,400 DraftKings, $6,800 FanDuel). Lamb had an excellent rookie season, catching 74 passes for 935 yards and five touchdowns despite Dak Prescott missing the final 11 games of the season. With Prescott returning in 2021, most had Lamb pegged for a big season.
In Week 1, he fought through early drop issues to put up an impressive stat line, hauling in seven passes for 104 yards and a score. Perhaps even more important, Lamb was targeted 15 times. Only Amari Cooper was targeted more (16), and in a Cowboys offense that is likely to throw the ball a lot, Lamb looks like a safe bet to be involved each week.
